During my recent trip to Oregon, I had no concrete plans on what I see except the Mount Hood Area and the Columbia River Gorge.

I visited both places in one day.

In my previous entries, I mentioned my drive to the Mount Hood area, ultimately settling on the Ramona Falls hike. Later that evening, as I drove up north, I headed east on I-84 and stopped at Rooster Rock State Park. The daily entrance fee is $5, but since I had already bought my pass earlier in the day, I was set.

I spent some time walking across the length of the park, settling on this picturesque view of the Columbia River and the surrounding terrain. It was lovely there. I stuck around to watch the sun set over the river.

In other news:

1) I am now permanently based in Buckhead (i.e., inside the perimeter. Previously I was OTP).

2) I am trying to resurrect my wedding photography (I've slashed prices for the remainder of 2012).

3) I hope to post on a more frequent basis beginning early next week. In the meantime, you can also find me on my reading blog.

4) I am currently making plans to visit the scenic areas of the Northeast in early Fall. Itinerary would involve a drive from Atlanta to Maine (estimated time frame: two to three weeks). Acadia National Park is on my list of places to visit. If you have other suggestions on this possible route, please let me know.
