Editor's note: I am continuing my photo series from my recent trip to Chicago. The gallery of the images I have posted so far is here.

I captured this image on my first day in Chicago. It was an extremely windy day and I decided, for whatever reason or another, to go see the Navy Pier. I was one of the few people walking around the perimeter of the Pier. This lighthouse on the edge of the breakwater around Lake Michigan caught my eye. Known as the Chicago Harbor Light, this lighthouse was constructed in 1893 for the World's Columbian Exposition and moved to its present site in 1919.
