One of the highlights of my trip to Chicago was going to see the Cubs game at Wrigley Field.

My impression of the stadium is that it is a well-oiled machine. Everything I witnessed was done for the purpose of making the fan experience great. From the bathrooms that had a uni-directional flow to the cops directing traffic on Addison Street to the salespersons selling concessions in the stands, everything had a bustling rhythm to it.

I sat in section 226, which was on the lower level opposite the home plate. However, prior to the game, I tried to walk around the stadium (as I usually do when I visit a new ballpark), and was met with a certain resistance when I tried to go from the right field stands to the outfield (my entrance was blocked for some reason or another). On the other hand, I received no resistance when I went to sit at the top of the bleachers to get a wider view of the stadium.

As far as photographing Wrigley Field: it was a challenge to get the entire field in the frame! Why? Because unlike most stadiums I've frequented, the central upper deck at Wrigley Field is the press box. You can't go above it. So to get the entire stadium into the frame, you have to go down to the 400 section to photograph it (which is what I did).

Another tip: walk around the stadium between the 400 section and the 500 section (upper deck). The vantage point seen in today's entry allowed me to capture the entire stadium, even if parts of it are obscured (notice the right field is cut off by the stands).

Overall, it was a great experience catching a game at Wrigley Field. The Cubs fans were friendly and cheered loudly (despite the Cubs trailing in the game and having one of the worst records in baseball the day of the game).

So now I've crossed off ten stadiums on my eventual goal of seeing every major ballpark: Turner Field (Atlanta), Tropicana Field (Tampa), Sky Dome (Toronto), AT&T Park (San Francisco), Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles), PETCO Park (San Diego), Safeco Field (Seattle), Fenway Park (Boston), New Yankee Stadium (New York City), and Wrigley Field (Chicago). I am not in any hurry to visit them all, so it might take me a while to get through the whole list...
