![]() Editor's note: I am winding down my photo series from Meg and Ian's wedding, which took place on September 4, 2010 at Villa Serena. See the first post in the series, as well as the subsequent posts here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. I already posted one photo of Megan dancing with her dad, but I wanted to profile this photo as well. Megan and her dad danced to Bob Carlisle's “Butterfly Kisses”, and after the song, Megan's dad joked that they shouldn't allow this song at weddings (it made most people teary): All the precious timeThis particular moment was poignant...I think this is what I love about wedding photography: capturing moments like this. For post-processing, I did something unusual: I thought that the guests sitting in the background were a non-essential component to the photo, so I cloned them out. That is to say: this moment, if you were at the wedding, was about Megan and her dad. I wanted to bring this into focus as much as I could. I also felt the B&W treatment would work better here. You can compare to the original, unprocessed photo here. What do you think of the final result? ### I don't ask for much, but if you've enjoyed these wedding photographs so far, please become a fan of Erudite Expressions on Facebook. Also, if you're so inclined, feel free to share this photo (or any photo on Erudite Expressions) using the eCard button located at the top right corner of the photo). Finally: if you're getting married (or know someone who is), consider hiring me. |
