Editor's note: I am continuing my short photo series from Meg and Ian's wedding, which took place on September 4, 2010 at Villa Serena. The introductory post is here.

In yesterday's post, I profiled the front view, and in today's entry, you see the view of Villa Serena from the other side, where the outdoor reception took place. It's lovely, isn't it?

This isn't a sweeping view of Villa Serena—I used the Canon 35mm f/1.4L lens for this shot—but it does give you a general idea of the grounds and how the guests were situated. If you look closely, you can see Megan interacting with two guests near the bottom of those steps. If you look further toward the center, you can see some detail of the grand staircase...

Also of note: at the far right, below the arch, is a lady in blue: she was the coordinator/wedding planner. At the far left, you can see a portion of the band that played some awesome music.

###
For photographers: I shot this photo at f/1.4, focusing on the exterior of Villa Serena. While I used the 35mm f/1.4L lens primarily for portraits, the lens can also work for architectural shots. The added bonus is that this focal length (35mm) introduces virtually no distortion (unlike the more wide-angle lenses such as the 17-40 f/4L which I also used).
