I captured this photo on a wide boulevard in Madrid, Spain.

There were so many interesting things to explore on that street. I previously featured a wide-angle view of this boulevard. The two curious ladies were also seen on this same street.

But perhaps it was the shot seen in today's entry that left me with the most striking memory of this place. I was walking across this boulevard, and I saw this elderly gentleman sitting with his dog. My first reaction, perhaps like yours looking at this picture, was “Wow, that dog is pudgy!” I, too, wondered whether this dog was capable of getting up and walking on its own. It was interesting to me how the dog and the man were looking in opposite directions. The dog was calm (I didn't hear one bark).

I didn't see how the man and his dog got there, and neither did I see them leave (I guess it's a token of appreciation for the life in Spain: calm and relaxing). I sat there for around ten minutes. Where was I sitting? Take a look at this image. Do you notice the feet sticking out on the left side of the frame (next to the tree)? Yep, I sat on that bench, about thirty minutes prior to the capture of that photo.

Dog lovers: do you know what kind of dog that is? Is it a Siberian Husky? Or does it appear to be a mix of some sort?
