![]() A scene from Munich, Germany. This was a lovely park to explore... This is a high dynamic range image. These days, I am trying to be more conservative in how I edit HDRs. For example, the latest image of the Louvre was also an HDR (though I didn't mention it anywhere in the caption of the post). I think one reason I sometimes don't mention if an image is and HDR is because a viewer's expectation of what an image stands for may shift if I do mention the HDR technique (i.e., the technique may be construed as more important the the overall photo or the story the photo tells). What do you think? For other images from Munich, see an entry on Hofgarten and a street scene of a bicycle fixer. ### There are just two days left to vote in the 2009 Photoblog Awards. If you haven't yet voted, and want to vote for Erudite Expressions, follow this link. You'll have to register on the website (you will not be spammed, I promise), after which you can access my photoblog page and click on the Vote button located next to the photoblog's name (Erudite Expressions). If you're not convinced on why you should vote, please read these posts: 1) “Worthy of Exploration” is a post which explores why I photograph. If you're an aspiring photographer, there's some words of encouragement there. That post is one of the best I've ever written, and definitely worth reading (in my opinion). 2) “The Cost of Something,” in which I explore what it means to be generous and to share. Thanks for reading. Again, if you're kind enough to vote, you can do so here. As always, I encourage you to explore the contributions of other photobloggers out there and vote for the ones you find interesting. |
