 In my 1,200th post on Erudite Expressions, I talked about the road ahead. It was supposed to be a metaphorical post, but in case you were wondering where the road actually led, it is here: a beautiful overpass in the Bavarian Alps. This was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever witnessed; it was definitely one of the highlights during my entire time in Europe this summer. I went with a slightly darker mood for the post-processing here, primarily so that I could recover the details in the clouds. If you look carefully, you should see beams of light coming through the clouds and illuminating the German countryside in the distance. This place was amazing to behold. I'll post another image from this location in the near future, but for now, enjoy this image. In that sense, it's not a popularity contest because you're not voting for the best (whatever that means) photoblog out there. But you are voting for those photoblogs which you appreciate (or which you think deserve some recognition). Additionally, the Photoblog Awards have recently added a new category: Picture of the Year.
