About twenty feet to the left from where “Louvre Framed” was captured, I stood and captured the shot of the Louvre Museum you see here. What was different about this shot is that I captured it through a screen that was covering one of the large windows in this room. Notice how the Louvre Pyramid is off-center in this image, while I meticulously framed the Louvre Pyramid in the center for this shot.

What's the coolest thing about this shot? I think it's the combination of the screen overlaid onto the background scene. In particular, note how the screen tends to curve near the top right and top left portions of the frame. I don't have a texture in my collection that could mimic this effect. A natural texture works sometimes, wouldn't you agree?

The adjustments for this image are fairly moderate: a simple boost in contrast via the curves tool in Photoshop, a perspective correction, and a de-vignette in Lightroom.
