![]() They were sitting alone, whispering to one another... This is the last image I am posting for this week's theme of street photography. In case you missed them, the other entries in this series are here, here, here, here, and here. It was a challenge to decide which image to post to wrap up the series this week. I initially intended to pull one of my other images I captured in New York City this summer, but I was dissatisfied with the way I post-processed the image, so I went lurking elsewhere. I went through my images from France, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland, but I couldn't find one image worth posting. Then I remembered about a large number of images I captured in Spain (I was there in the summer of 2008), and I found the image you see in today's entry. I captured this image in Seville, Spain. I speculate that the man and the woman were dating, possibly engaged. I don't think they were married, but I could be wrong. What's interesting to me about this scene is that their golden retriever noticed me from across the street. However, he only glanced at me, and did not alert his/her owner(s) with a bark. I think his glance is a sign of curiosity rather than one of suspicion or threat. I am happy about that. After I captured this shot, I went around on the other side (there is an upward-sloping pathway behind the two lovers) and captured a more intimate moment this couple shared. I won't post or link to that particular shot, however (perhaps I will reserve it for a future entry). Seville is a beautiful city. Beautiful people too. I've mentioned it before, but many say that Seville is 'the most Spanish of cities.' It's hard to disagree. If you ever go to Spain, you cannot miss Seville. I think it's even more wonderful than Barcelona or Madrid. In other news: 1) I don't know have particular plans for what I will post next week. I may mix things up with some wedding images, one or two images from my travels, or post something completely different. 2) If you have a minute and have been following Erudite Expressions for a while, and you like what you have been seeing, please cast your vote in the 2009 Photoblog Awards.
