I captured the shot seen in today's entry in the early morning hours of the New Media Atlanta conference, which I described in yesterday's post. After taking some pictures of Chris Brogan signing Trust Agents, I moved to a different part of the venue (Georgia Tech Research Institute).

I saw a lady standing in front of me using her iPhone. Before capturing the shot, however, I noticed that another lady was coming forward on the outside of the building. I waited a second or two until she entered the frame and captured the image you see in today's entry (adjustments: basic B&W conversion in Adobe Lightroom, contrast enhancement in Photoshop CS 3 using the curves tool, and overlaid with a texture). I do believe that the composition of this shot would have been stronger if I had knelt down more than I actually did, which would have enabled me to capture the entire frame of the lady on the outside. Nevertheless, this is one of the more creative shots I captured all day, so I figured it was worth posting. I have titled this post “Pausing and Going,” but I am curious to hear what you would have titled this image (you can leave comments via the comments link at the bottom of the photo). Also, I have placed this image into my People gallery.

If you're interested, the growing set of pictures from the event may be found here. If you were a participant in this conference (or even if you weren't), and if you have a Flickr account, feel free to leave comments on the photos. You can comment or send me suggestions by email for captions, names of people pictured, and other relevant information.

Update: The lady seen in the foreground is Carol Flammer. She was one of the speakers at the conference, and a few photos of her on stage may be seen here, here, and here.
