![]() This is the third and final entry in this short series from Dima and Nataliya's engagement session, which I photographed last Saturday (see the first entry here and the second entry here). For this shot, we carefully picked out a spot on the grass which was comfortable (avoiding ant mounds was the key here). I just told the couple to act naturally, and after a few seconds of lying down in the grass, the couple was smiling. Looking at this image (and the other two), can you guess which lens I used for this photoshoot? Hint: it's a prime lens. Free Prints Update The second print giveaway ended tonight. If you missed the details, they are here. The latest mini-contest revolved around answering this question: 'What is your favourite book and/or a book you recently read and recommend to others?' There were a total of eight responses, with all of the responses coming in as comments in these two entries: 'Atlanta Evening' and 'Driving by Fox.' I compiled everyone's name, and ordered the eight entrants from one to eight, in order of their comment submission (for example, Manny was #1, Scott was #2, and so on). Shortly after midnight on June 24, 2009 (I am posting this entry after midnight to reveal the winner), I performed a random sequence drawing using the random number generator on www.random.org. Since there were eight entrants, I chose to sequence numbers one through eight. The number that came up at the top of the sequence would be the declared winner. So without further ado, the winner is Dylan! He was the third person to comment, and his number came up first in the drawing. I've posted a screenshot of the result here. You can confirm that the drawing was held shortly after midnight (04:00:46 UTC). I mentioned in previous photoblog entries that if there were less than ten total entries, then there would be one winner of the free print; if there were more than ten entries, then there would be two winners. Congratulations to Dylan on winning the second free print in this giveaway. And congratulations to Nithya for winning the first print. Now there are four prints remaining which I will be giving away in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for details. The next giveaway will most likely be via twitter, so it might be helpful to follow me here. |
