 As I mentioned in my previous post, the theme for this week's post is 'night shots' (and also long exposure shots, which aren't necessarily captured during the night). The image seen in today's entry was captured in Orlando, Florida. It was a wet day, and somewhat wild as well (it took an hour to get out of the parking lot out of Epcot, with a few theatrics thrown in by the impatient drivers) - so it was fitting to take this photo near the Wet 'n Wild Waterpark. Did you know that Wet 'n Wild is considered to be the first major waterpark in the United States? The exposure time for this image was 2.5 seconds, with the camera placed on the window ledge of the car. Three announcements: 1) If you haven't already done so, do check out my Imagekind review. I think the review is informative, especially for those of you who are considering ordering large prints from them. 2) I will be in New York City in late July! Today, I bought two tickets to the Baltimore Orioles at New York Yankees game on July 20, 2009. I didn't have a chance to visit the old Yankee Stadium, but I am hoping to have a great experience at the New Yankee Stadium. Of course, I hope to add to my baseball stadium picture collection. My favourites include an HDR image of Dodger Stadium, the gorgeous PETCO Park, and of course, Turner Field, home of the Braves (my favourite baseball team). 3) Today I found six 4'x6' metallic prints. I am thinking that I will hold a small contest to give these prints away for free! I will give the details in the next few days, but the contest will most likely revolve around correctly answering a question about a caption or details behind a certain image which I posted on Erudite Expressions. Another idea is to do something on twitter (maybe retweeting a certain message?). And yet another idea might revolve around the facebook fan page. I've also recently discovered random.org (which offers true random numbers to anyone on the Internet, how amazing is that?), so I may incorporate a contest using that site.
