Joshua and Jackee lighting the unity candle during their wedding ceremony.

From the moment I saw the RAW file for this image, I knew that it deserved a B&W conversion (I am not sure what it is exactly that drives me to convert a certain image to a B&W though; I want to say it's a vision of sorts, but I realize that may sound silly to some people). As a rough guideline, I only post-process/convert around 10% of the original images into B&W images. The image in today's entry was one of the ten (out of a total of 100+ post-processed) I converted to a B&W image; another image from Joshua and Jackee's wedding converted to B&W was this one.

I am hoping to get out and about with my camera in the next few days, so that I will have fresh material to post (though of course I have some backlogged archived images in the pipeline as well). If there aren't any posts in the next few days, not to worry. I am finalizing some things regarding the spring prints sale and will update the prints blog with an entry or two over the weekend.

In case you missed the most recent 'Did You Know?' section, please take a look at the caption that went with yesterday's post.
