Moving away from images from France, the next four to five images will be ones I captured on the island of Capri.

Starting today: view of the island of Capri from the funicular railway. As I mentioned in this entry, the island is overcrowded with tourists. Altogether, it took about an hour from buying the tickets to getting to the top of the island.

Notice anything different about the layout of the site? I've added an option to buy prints via a service called fotomoto. If you have wanted to order prints from this photoblog, this is a great option. Right now I am thinking that I will use fotomoto to provide lustre prints, while the option to purchase metallic prints will be via the 'purchase a print' button at the bottom of the images. The neatest thing about the fotomoto service is that it can automatically figure out the aspect ratio of the photos I post (3x2, 5x4, 2x1, 1x1, etc), and it will generate a purchase print form to match the aspect ratio of the image. If you haven't already done so, give it a try (just click the 'purchase a print' link above).

Finally, today's photographer of the day to check out is Jesse Estes. I found out about his work via Flickr. This image from southern Oregon coast is absolutely breathtaking (the colour version is even better, I think). Yosemite Falls in the winter is another must-see. Another one I really like is the image of Mount Hood. And my favourite landscape image by Jesse is the Whispy River Gorge.
