Les Baux, France. You're looking at wine country.
Note: this image is not available for print, but there are plenty of images still on sale in the spring prints sale (I will make an update on the prints blog soon, but the spring prints sale will end on May 31, 2009).
Today's photographer to discover is Amy Masson, who hails from Austrlia. Her work is exclusively self-portraiture (something you won't see at all on this photoblog). Definitely check out 'The Undercurrent,' 'A Pricking of Silence,' 'Veins of my Head,' and 'The Unmoving Town.' Two incredible things about Amy: she's only seventeen and most of the photos she captures with a point-and-shoot camera. Again, check out her work here.
I should mention that the updates in the next ten days will be slow. I hadn't realized how busy the end of April would be when I mentioned I would try to post daily in April. So, for now, my expectation is that I will have to finish the posts retroactively (I already have the images I want to post selected but I will hold off on the uploads possibly until May 1st). In the meantime, if you have recommendations on photographers you think deserve a mention at the end of my posts (there are still ten entries to go in the month of April), please send me an email to elbelbelb2000[at]gmail[dot]com. Thanks for understanding.
