![]() Today, I woke up early and explored the city of Savannah some more. First on my to-visit list was Forsyth Park, and I'll post a picture or two from there in the days to come. After visiting Forsyth Park, I proceeded to River Street. The day after St. Patrick's Day, there were very few tourists in the area. Mostly, there were a lot of trucks (restocking beer and drinks to the restaurants that went dry from the day before) and workers cleaning up the street. By around noon, I was ready to head home, when I noticed this giant cargo ship, CMA CGM Swordfish, directly ahead of me. At nearly three hundred meters in length, its size seemed a bit daunting for the width of the Savannah River. I watched in amazement as Swordfish pressed forward and easily navigated under the bridge in the distance, the Eugene Talmadge Memorial Bridge. |
