Pictured in today's entry is an awesome gelateria in a small town of Savona, Italy. The image is an HDR, though it's not one of my better ones (moving subjects don't help). Say hello to the doggy!

From my experience, the best gelato I ate in Italy has been in small towns and/or away from large tourist areas. The ice cream I ate in the center of Portofino? Garbage. The gelato off the beaten path in Rome? Amazing. The strawberry gelato I had in a tiny alley in Milan? The best ice cream I ever ate.
