![]() These stairs in Jaffa are both narrow and uneven, though it's hard to ascertain that claim from the image in today's entry. I loved this little corner, simply because there is nowhere to go but down if you want to explore the rest of the city of Jaffa. On the right are stairs leading to a private residence (the door was locked, though the gate was open; that entryway will be a future post on Erudite Expressions). Technical note: today's entry, like the previous three, is a high dynamic range image. I did, however, have a difficult time in recovering the blues and the whites from the sky, so in lieu of scrapping this image altogether (which I do quite often when the HDRs don't look to my satisfaction), I overlayed the sky with three different textures. You may or may not like the final result, but I think it looks better than the original image. Update: that black dot in the sky is not an artifact; it is a bird. |
