![]() Continuing from Central Park (around 72nd Street), and moving southwest on various streets (Broadway, 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue), I eventually visited Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, and some other points of interest along the way. Before saying goodbye to New York City (leaving via Penn Station), I captured this last shot of NYC (near the corner of West 34th Street and Broadway, looking toward the Empire State Building). Just a few blocks away is Penn Station. I bought a one way ticket via NJ Transit to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). After a thirty minute ride to EWR, I took the AirTrain to find the courtesy shuttle which would take me to my hotel from which I would pick up my suitcase. After picking up my bag, I got on the shuttle again and traveled back to EWR. From there, I proceeded to check my luggage. The destination this time? Israel. The flight departed at around 11:30PM, and for the next ten hours or so, I would be in the air. Arriving to Ben Gurion International Airport at around 5PM local time, the group with which I was traveling met our guide, Yael, loaded our bags onto our bus, and set off to Jerusalem. That evening we had some free time to explore the area around our hotel. I captured a few photos that night, but most of them are not worthy of posting, so for the entry of December 16th, I have decided to post another picture which I captured in New York City. |
