Today I woke up early and drove to Dawsonville, GA to photograph a wedding. It's the first wedding I have photographed in quite some time, so I wanted to make sure everything was set. The night before, I double checked all my memory cards, charged my batteries (including spare ones), tightened the screws on my tripod, and packed everything inside my camera bags.

The drive up to Dawsonville was fairly easy to navigate (I used directions by Google maps). The wedding was held at Peach Brandy Cottage, a quaint location by a small lake. The actual wedding ceremony took place in a gazebo right next to the lake, while the reception area was about one hundred feet away. What I liked about the reception area is that the ceiling had windows, allowing plenty of light to illuminate the area. The image seen in today's entry is a shot of the interior of the reception area and you can see the nice table arrangement (with a simple theme of fall colours).

The entire wedding went very smoothly and I took nearly three hundred photos in a span of four hours. I am still post-processing the images from the wedding, and I'll post a few more on this photoblog in the coming days. In the meantime: congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Smith!
