I saw these shoes on sale in Barcelona, Spain. After you glanced at the image, did you notice that one of the shoes is turned on its side? Did you notice that (at least) one of the shoes is 'missing' from the rack?

There was a very exciting announcement from Canon today. After about three years of waiting, Canon have announced the successor to the Canon 5D (the digital SLR which I am using), called the Canon 5D Mark II. The Canon 5D Mark II features a whopping 21.1 megapixel full-frame CMOS censor with the new DIGIC 4 Image Processor, 3.9 frames per second shooting, nine point auto-focus, ability to shoot using live view (on the brand new 920,000-dot resolution 3.0-inch VGA LCD monitor), and - most interestingly - ability to shoot videos in full HD (resolution of 1920x1080 pixels at 30 frames per second)!

Click here to read a comprehensive list of features of the Canon 5D Mark II. It's slated to be released in November. If I am going to upgrade in the future, this camera seems like it will be it. Estimated street price in the U.S.A. for body only will be $2,699 (which means I can't afford it at the moment).

The video feature of the Canon 5D Mark II will be very attractive to a lot of photographers, I think. Check out some of the sample videos taken by the Canon 5D Mark II and various lenses here.
