Today I woke up early (for a Saturday) to participate in the Worldwide Photo Walk (an event to celebrate the release of the update to the world's bestselling Lightroom book, The Lightroom 2 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby). You can read more about the photowalk on this website. More than 6,500 photographers in 236 cities would be signed up for this event, as described in this post (link) by Scott Kelby.

I took part in the Atlanta photo walk, led by Ken Ross. The walk began and ended at Centennial Olympic Park; we traversed the following streets along the walk: Marietta Street, Cone Street, Walton Street, Forsyth Street, Edgewood Avenue, Peachtree Street, Luckie Street, Poplar Street, and Spring Street. After the walk, we all had a nice lunch together at Taco Mac (near the CNN Center).

The photo walk was a pretty cool experience because I photographed parts of Atlanta which I've never been to before. Along the way, it was also great to meet other photographers who shared interesting tidbits on their workflow, gear, and techniques.

As for this shot: it was taken near the corner of Peachtree Street and Edgewood Avenue. As you can see, the time of capture was 10:07AM. I captured a few images of this Coca-Cola sign from different vantage points, but the image seen in today's entry was the only one which had birds flying in the air.
