![]() This is an HDR image showing the detail of the decorations in one of the inner courtyards of the Alhambra, in Granada, Spain. I've posted some other images from the Alhambra previously, which may be seen here and here. You might have noticed that many of my recent entries have been high dynamic range (HDR) images. I began experimenting with HDR imaging a couple of months ago, and I realized that the method carries a tremendous potential. Mostly everywhere I went around Spain I was carrying my tripod in anticipation of finding great things to photograph via the HDR technique. I am still trying out new things in post-processing, so look for my HDR images to evolve over time. For instance, the image seen in today's entry was initially processed in Adobe Lightroom, then exported to Photomatix Pro to create the tonemapped result, then exported to Photoshop CS3 for some retouching (dodging and burning, removing noise, correcting wide angle distortion, and so forth), and finally imported back to Lightroom for final adjustments. As always, you can access my HDR gallery through the ARCHIVES link found below. Click here to see the thumbnails of all the HDR images I've ever posted on Erudite Expressions. |
