![]() Seen here is the overlook over the town of Mijas, in southern Spain. I captured this image from a similar outlook as the one seen in the right part of the image. I have a mild fascination with coin-operated binoculars (click here to see one of my favourite images), so I was looking for an opportunity in which I could frame the Spanish countryside - mostly green and yellowish in colour - with the complementary (and thus contrasted) blue of the coin-operated binoculars. I framed this shot such that if you look in the upper right corner, you see a winding road in the hills. If you follow its path to the left, you descend in elevation until you reach an intersection; at this point, the road divides into two, one going toward the houses you see in the center (about two thirds up from the bottom) of the frame, and the other road going back up the mountain. The mystery of where that second road leads to is left for a future entry on this photoblog. |
