I saw this bronze lion protruding out of an old wall in Granada, and I became mesmerized for a moment. A few seconds later, I took out my camera and captured the image for posterity. The image you see in today's entry is actually an HDR, created with the help of Photomatix Pro. Final post-processing was in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop CS3.

The image was captured with the Canon 100mm macro lens at f/3.5. Due to such high aperture and proximity to the subject, there is very shallow depth of field in the image. In particular, the ring that the lion has clasped in its jaw appears out of focus.
