Today was the last full day in Spain. Again, I spent the day walking around Madrid. One could walk around all the major touristic destinations in Madrid in just a few hours, which is what I did.

In the afternoon, I climbed to the top floor of the hotel to capture some shots of Madrid. The HDR image seen in today's entry was shot with the Canon 5D and the Canon 100mm macro lens. In the full-resolution image, there is so much to explore. I would come back to the rooftop later that day to capture Madrid by night (image to be posted in the coming days).

Most of the rooftops in Madrid are red in colour, as you can see. It was a somewhat cloudy day when I captured this image, but I was able to bring out the bluish tint of the mountains in the background during post-processing. I think the contrast of red and blue in this image is what makes it work. What do you think?
