![]() Today, our tour around Spain continued with a visit to Seville (Sevilla), described as 'the most Spanish of cities.' The day began with a visit to Seville's Plaza de España, which is is one of Seville's most easily recognized buildings and the epitome of the Moorish Revival in Spanish architecture. In 1929 Seville hosted the Spanish-American Exhibition. A number of buildings were built for the exhibition in the Maria Luisa Park. On the park's edge was built the current Plaza de España, which at the time showcased Spain's industry and technology exhibits. Seville's Plaza de España has four gates and four bridges representing the four former kingdoms (Castile, León, Aragon, and Navarre) which founded Spain as one country more than 500 years ago. The image seen in today's entry is of one of the beautiful bridges in the Plaza. The image is an HDR, composed of three bracketed exposures. Post-processing was in both Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop CS3. To see more HDR images, click here to access my HDR gallery. |
