This is an HDR image of coin-operated binoculars located on the Daytona Beach central pier. Compared to yesterday's image, this shot was taken on the opposite side of the pier. It costs fifty cents to operate these binoculars, accepted via quarters only. Near the top of the binoculars, in the red circle, one may find these words: 'Turn to clear vision.' Incidentally, I had to turn around while walking on the pier to notice this photographic opportunity.

The beauty of HDR photography is that it allows one to capture what one sees in real life, not what the camera or its sensor sees. In this instance, the blue and magenta colours of the two walls were really this vibrant; had I taken a single RAW image, the colours would have come out really dull. I think HDR is awesome, and I'll be using this technique more and more often in the future.
