![]() This is a high dynamic range (HDR) image which I captured in Centennial Olympic Park last Friday. I was without a tripod for the day, but I managed to do well on this shot by placing the camera directly on the metal of this structure (it's called 'Androgyne Planet') and shooting at f/22 for maximum depth of field. I then combined three shots (exposed at -2 EV, 0EV, +2EV) in Photomatix Pro and tone-mapped the final result. I really like the final version because you can see all the minute detail in the wings (such as the rusting of the metal), the texture in the clouds, and the beautiful golden glow of the sun and its reflection on the metal structure. I have added this image to my HDR gallery, which you can see by clicking here. News regarding this photoblog: Erudite Expressions is celebrating a two year anniversary. To help commemorate the event, I am having a sale on two 8 inch by 12 inch prints + two 4 inch by 6 inch prints for just $20. The promotion lasts until May 8, 2008 (only three days left!).
