Close-up portrait of Ashley Kazian, winner of the 2007 Miss United States pageant. This shot, like yesterday's, was captured with the Canon 100mm macro lens. You can read more about Ashley on the Miss United States Organization page here.

Post-processing was done in Adobe Lightroom, followed by some minor adjustments in Adobe Photoshop CS3. The final presentation here is in a 5:4 aspect ratio (which deviates from the usual 3:2 aspect ratio in which I post my images), primarily because I wanted to have some 8 in. x 10 in. prints sent to Ashley. It is much easier to find 8 in. x 10 in. frames than 8 in. x 12 in. frames. It still amazes me that most stores don't carry 8 in. x 12 in. frames when the 3:2 aspect ratio is the most common aspect ratio of digital SLRs! If you know where one can buy some good 8 in. x 12 in. frames, please leave a comment.

On an unrelated note: I learned more about Apple Aperture today, so there's a high possibility that I will be posting images post-processed in Aperture in the very near future. Stay tuned.
