![]() Continuing the series on Ashley Kazian, winner of the 2007 Miss United States pageant, this is image number two (click here for yesterday's entry). You can read more about Ashley in this article from GoUpstate (the web version of the Spartanburg, SC newspaper, Spartanburg Herald-Journal). This shot was captured with the Canon 100mm macro at f/2.8 and 1/1250 seconds. I like this full-length portrait because it was captured when someone in the area said something amusing, which allowed for a great laugh. I prefer shots 'caught in the moment,' so while trying to capture Ashley in certain poses, I made sure I kept snapping away with the camera during opportune times to come away with photos like the one presented today. For the image captured here, Ashley dressed up in her gown (covered with a banner which reads 'Miss United States') and, of course, in the massive crown which was awarded to her. This shot is also neat because in the background you can see a duck. Coming up in the coming days will be a close-up portrait of Ashley, followed by another full-length portrait, followed by another candid photo or two. |
