![]() This is the last image I am posting from a wedding I photographed a couple of weeks ago. Like the previous three images (one | two | three), this image was also captured while manually zooming on my Canon 17-40 f/4L lens; exposure time for this image was 1/8 seconds. From the four images I posted, this is definitely my favourite. I like the juxtaposition of balance and chaos in this image. Balance for the way the guests are lined up in a circle around the bride and groom, the symmetry of the wooden ceiling, and the way the bride and groom are positioned at center stage. Chaos for the pieces of paper strewn about the dance floor by the children who grew tired of dancing and decided to have fun with closest available props a minute earlier. And, of course, a sense of movement is echoed in the outstretched hands of a mother beckoning her daughter to come away from center stage so that the bride and groom will enjoy their last dance of the night. |
