I'm in Gatlinburg, TN tonight. Woke up early this morning, and it turned into a seven hour trip with all the stops. The main road through Smoky Mountain National Park was closed due to treacherous conditions, so the alternate route via I-40 meant an extra sixty miles and two hours of travel (on snowy roads). Incidentally, this was the first time I've seen snow in about a year, and it was definitely refreshing. This shot was captured near the south entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park, and I think that this tree looks imposing against the mountainous background.
